With demands on existing infrastructure increasing, are there better ways to get important projects built? New legislation allows cities and special districts to implement progressive design-build in order to hire design and construction teams at the beginning of a project. The ability to partner and collaborate with the most qualified firms provides an opportunity for reduced project risks, cost savings, and, ultimately, better projects. However, it can also present unforeseen legal, practical, and political risks and challenges. This webinar will discuss how cities and special districts can successfully use progressive design-build, along with other similar and underutilized alternative project delivery tools, to build public infrastructure.
