BBK’s Mrunal Shah Appointed to Women in Public Finance Executive Board
Named Director of Charitable Giving for Los Angeles Chapter
Best Best & Krieger LLP Public Finance Partner Mrunal Shah has been appointed to a two-year term as director of charitable giving for the board of Women in Public Finance, Los Angeles Chapter.
Women in Public Finance is a national nonprofit, educational and professional networking organization for women in the public finance industry. Shah has been a member for a number of years.
In the director of charitable giving role, Shah will plan and continue to expand the group’s charitable efforts. Past events and efforts have included cooking and serving meals at women’s shelters in downtown Los Angeles, the March of Dimes walk, toy drives and more.
“My goal for the year is to find volunteer opportunities in which all members of the organization may participate, whether virtual or in person, and allow for increased member engagement,” Shah said.
As a partner in BBK’s Public Finance practice group, Shah serves as bond, special and disclosure counsel for a variety of transactions representing public agencies throughout California. She also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
