Partner Miles Krieger and Grandfather Featured in Attorney at Law Magazine's Legal Legacy Issue
Special Issue Highlights the Esteemed Careers of Miles Krieger and His Grandfather, Renowned Water Attorney Jim Krieger, Celebrating His Impactful Legal Legacy
Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) Partner, Miles Krieger was featured in Attorney at Law Magazine’s Legal Legacy Issue. The February 2025 issue spotlights attorneys who carry on family traditions in law, sharing stories of those who were inspired by their relatives to pursue a career in law. Miles, a member of the firm’s Environmental & Natural Resources practice group, reflects on how his grandfather’s legacy shaped his own path in water and environmental law.
In this issue, Miles shares that water was a frequent topic of conversation in his family. Inspired by his grandfather, Jim Krieger, who was deeply involved in water law, Miles strives to tackle complex water-related issues with creativity and innovation. Jim was imperative in building on and expanding the water law practice group at BBK. Although Jim passed away before Miles was born, his legacy lived on through Miles’ grandmother, Lois Krieger, who upheld the tradition of discussing water. Lois was also the first chairwoman of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
“Both Jim and Lois were deeply committed to serving the public interest, and I hold service to the public and public values in the highest regard, both personally and professionally,” said Miles.
