Kira Johnson is of counsel in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Environmental Law & Natural Resources practice group. Kira focuses on advising public sector clients on water law and policy matters. As a litigator, she has represented public and private clients in state and federal court and administrative proceedings in matters involving endangered species, water quality, water rights and land use law.
  
While attending Loyola Law School, Kira was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board and Team, president of the Environmental Law Society and a board member of the Public Interest Law Foundation. In addition, Kira externed with the California Attorney General in the Natural Resources Law Section as part of the Public Rights Summer Honors Program.

Before attending law school, she spent three years as an assistant coach for the Swarthmore College women’s basketball team, making a trip to the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2001. She was born and raised in Altadena, California and now lives in La Crescenta, California with her husband and two kids.
