Karina Demirchyan
Karina is an attorney with Best Best & Krieger’s Advanced Records Center (ARC) where she specializes in guiding public agencies and school districts through the complexities of California’s Public Records Act (PRA). She is a trusted advisor in interpreting confidentiality requirements and exemptions under both state and federal law.
Prior to joining BBK, Karina’s practice focused on advising school district and public agencies on a range of regulatory issues, including compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Title IX, and the PRA.
Karina has a long-standing commitment to serving the public sector, having worked with several educational institutions and public agencies throughout her career. In law school, her legal internships included roles with the University of California Office of the General Counsel, Oakland Unified School District, and San Francisco Unified School District, where she contributed to legal research, policy drafting, and compliance initiatives.
With a passion for serving public institutions, Karina is dedicated to ensuring that schools, agencies, and other public entities can fulfill their legal obligations while safeguarding privacy.
In her free time, Karina enjoys following World Cup soccer, Olympic fencing, and developments in legal technology.
