Kari Cameron

Kari Cameron is a senior paralegal at Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) who supports the firm’s Energy and Intellectual Property practice groups.

In her trademark work, Kari assists public agencies, health care organizations and businesses with the management of federal, state and international trademark portfolios. She supports trademark matters throughout their lifecycle, including client intake, preparation and prosecution of applications, identification of goods and services, specimen review, responses to USPTO Office actions, use filings, extensions, renewals and maintenance filings, assignments and ownership changes. Kari also assists with Madrid Protocol and other international trademark matters and works closely with attorneys, clients and foreign associates to coordinate filings and monitor deadlines.

In her energy work, Kari specializes in practice and procedure before the California Public Utilities Commission and the California Energy Commission. She works closely with clients on regulatory compliance with CPUC and other agency program mandates.

Before joining BBK, Kari was an industry specialist paralegal at a San Francisco law firm, where she focused on electricity, natural gas and pipeline matters for energy producers, end users and community choice aggregators. She served as a liaison among firm counsel, outside counsel and business-unit personnel, managing workflows and budgets to help clients meet their advocacy and compliance goals.

With more than 25 years of experience in regulated industries and legal services, Kari brings a broad range of knowledge, organization and practical experience to her work.

Kari enjoys spending time with her husband and grown children, traveling to Europe and gardening.
