Jane Abzug is an attorney in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Municipal Law practice group and handles a variety of transactional and litigation matters relating to municipal law. She helps municipalities navigate through every day municipal law issues, including those that arise from compliance with state law, such as the Brown Act, Public Records Act, Coastal Act, Planning and Zoning Law and housing laws, and California Environmental Quality Act. With laws constantly changing, Jane ensures that her clients are advised and up-to-date on the latest laws to ensure compliance.

Jane has served as assistant city attorney in cities in Los Angeles and Orange County. Prior to joining BBK, she handled health, disability, life and property insurance cases, as well as various product and premise liability cases. While attending Loyola Law School, Jane was a member of the Hobbs District Attorney Clinic. She also held externships with a federal magistrate judge, the United States Attorney's Office in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, and Bet Tzedek Legal Services. She lives in Laguna Niguel with her husband and children.
