Antoinette Ranit-Mauro is an associate in Best Best & Krieger’s Environmental Law & Natural Resources practice group with a specific focus on the California Coastal Act and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Her practice centers on advising clients on the substantive and procedural requirements of the Coastal Act, CEQA, and land use laws.

Antoinette has experience advising public and private clients with various environmental matters including the review of environmental impact reports, negative declarations, and addendums, as well as Coastal Development Permits. Additionally, Antoinette has represented and advised clients in a variety of matters including CEQA and Coastal Act compliance, land use challenges, land acquisitions for open space preservation, Brown Act requirements, Public Records Act requests, and contract management and negotiation.

Antoinette graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with honors and obtained a J.D. with a concentration in Environmental Law. While in law school, Antoinette received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Profession and California Cases & Places. She also served as President of the McGeorge Environmental Law Society and Secretary of the Student Bar Association.

Antoinette currently lives with her husband and their two dogs in Santa Cruz where she loves spending time in the ocean, on the trails, and in the pottery studio.
