Best Best & Krieger Partner Nancy Park was named to the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2022 Women Who Mean Business list, which celebrates 14 women who represent the best of Sacramento’s business community. The list, along with Park’s profile, published in Sacramento Business Journal’s June 17 issue. Honorees were formally recognized during an awards luncheon on June 17.

“For 27 years, the Business Journal has dedicated one issue each year to recognize the outstanding talents of female leaders in the Sacramento area,” said Sacramento Business Journal Associate Editor Lindsay Oxford. “The women profiled here are unique: their life experiences, their professional experiences and many other factors have shaped the way they approach their work. These women’s stories show that there is no single path to success, but multiple avenues to reach goals.”

Park, who has led BBK’s Business practice group since 2020, has a varied real estate, finance and business background, which includes serving as CEO for a private developer. Her diverse experience has been a professional asset, allowing her to see situations from multiple angles.

Her Sacramento Business Journal profile states that “Park’s high energy level has likely contributed to her success. Outside of work, she’s an athlete, running marathons, rowing with the River City Rowing Club in West Sacramento, and backpacking in the wilderness.”  The profile also recognizes Park’s selfless dedication to the community: “She helped bake 100 pies for the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner in 2019 and during the pandemic, and organized the baking and packaging of cookies for the charity’s take out dinners.”

When asked her top professional goal for the year, Park said “I am doing a lot of planning for the succession and integration. When BBK joined with Bend, Oregon-based Karnopp Petersen (this year), we gained 10 new Business practice attorneys and staff. Thanks to this growth and always, I am examining our team from the 10,000-foot view, to ensure we continue building relationships and culture.”
