Houda Matar is a paralegal in the Special Districts practice group with nearly a decade of litigation experience. Houda has worked on a wide range of civil matters involving large public agencies, private companies, small businesses, and individuals. Her experience spans federal, state, and appellate litigation. Houda currently specializes in groundwater adjudications and water law focusing mostly groundwater rights, hazardous waste, municipal law, and natural resources. 

Houda has extensive trial preparation experience and has prepared and been involved with around 10 trials. She assists in every stage of pre-trial preparation including managing docket deadlines, drafting pleadings, organize and finalize exhibits, compile exhibit and witness lists, coordinates with team on handling materials and demonstratives, prepare jury instructions and many other tasks. 

Prior to focusing on this area, Houda worked in labor and employment law as well as class action litigation, which provided her with a well-rounded foundation across multiple practice areas. Houda is detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong ability to support attorneys in managing complex, high-stakes matters.
