Clarissa E. Thurston represents municipal and public sector clients as prosecution counsel in Best Best & Krieger’s Municipal Law practice group. She works with cities and municipalities to improve the quality of life for their citizens through municipal code enforcement. Clarissa also handles both civil and criminal litigation.

Prior to joining BBK, Clarissa served as a deputy district attorney in Imperial County. She lead the misdemeanor attorney team and prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor offenses.  In this position, she worked as liaison between the District Attorney’s Office and the local California Highway Patrol agencies.

Clarissa grew up in El Centro, California. In her free time, Clarissa enjoys practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
