Christopher Moffitt
He/Him
Christopher Moffitt is Of Counsel and a member of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Business and Labor & Employment practice groups. He represents and advises clients on a range of litigation matters involving business disputes, writs and complaints against public entities, and employment law violations.
Business and Contract Litigation
Chris works closely with both public and private entities to find favorable resolutions to challenging business disputes. He has experience with a wide range of civil matters, including breach of contract, class action, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair business practices and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. He also works with city attorneys in defending litigation arising from municipal policies, ordinances and resolutions, including writ matters relating to short-term housing ordinances and commercial cannabis permitting.
Labor and Employment Litigation
Chris represents clients in complex employment matters, such as claims of discrimination, retaliation and harassment for both public and private clients.
Chris sits on the boards of the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center and the Fox Riverside Theater Foundation. He also sits on steering committees for both the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce’s Leadership Riverside program and the Riverside County Office of Education’s high school mock trial tournament. He lives with his wife, Jessica, and Aussie, Finn, in Riverside and enjoys playing the piano and competing in pub trivia with friends.
