Astrid Furstner provides support to the Environmental Law and Natural Resources practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP. She has over 20 years of legal experience working on cases that involve private and public companies as well as individuals.

Astrid’s work as a paralegal focuses primarily on litigation at all levels of the federal and state courts, on cases involving complex matters.  She is certified in federal law, Oregon, and California legal procedures. Astrid regularly assists attorneys with all aspects of procedural civil litigation matters, including discovery proceedings, expert witness management, trial preparation, witness lists, document collection, and review. She regularly assists attorneys with management and analysis of complex discovery matters and document management.

Prior to joining BBK, Astrid assisted with food and beverage, corporate, business transactions, and various litigation matters, in addition to trial experience. She assisted with federal trials in California, trials within the United States administrative agencies, and law and motion hearings within Oregon, California, and federal courts. She has also assisted attorneys in environmental compliance, employment law, business and corporate, as well as trusts and estates.

Astrid has regularly taught legal courses for legal professionals through Legal Professionals, Inc. in the early 2000s, and currently is an adjunct professor for paralegal studies through Campus (formerly MTI College).

Astrid resides in Portland, Oregon with her family, dogs, and chickens. She is a professional wood worker and fiber artist. Her art has been on display at various art galleries, art venues, and she can regularly be found as a vendor within the indigenous and artisan community of the Pacific Northwest.
