Schwab Recognized for Excellence in Lobbying/Government Relations
Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) is excited to share that Partner and Director of Government Affairs Ana Schwab has been selected as one of the finalists for the Law.com D.C. Legal Awards 2026. The D.C. Legal Awards recognize leading attorneys, firms and legal professionals for their impact within Washington, D.C.’s legal community.
Schwab, recognized in the Lobbying/Government Relations category, has extensive experience in government relations, legislative advocacy and public policy, working at the intersection of law, funding and regulation to advance her clients’ priorities. She represents local governments, special districts and public and private stakeholders on water, wastewater, infrastructure, environmental compliance and disaster mitigation and recovery matters.
Schwab works closely with federal agencies, helping clients navigate the federal funding process from legislative and regulatory development through grant implementation and compliance. Her government relations work includes shaping and advancing legislation, advocating for client priorities with policymakers and federal agencies and securing federal funding for water, wastewater, recycling and infrastructure projects. Schwab has played a key role in the passage and amendment of legislation addressing land transfers, water and infrastructure funding and regulation.
The finalists and honorees will be recognized at an awards dinner on October 20 in Washington, D.C., where winners in each of the finalist categories will also be announced. The ceremony will bring together attorneys, firms and legal professionals from across the D.C. legal community to celebrate this year’s achievements and recognize excellence in the profession.
