It will explore ways to minimize litigation arising from pre-election conflicts, as well as offer advice on responding when disputes escalate to legal challenges. Presenters will also provide a foundational overview of key steps in the election process mandated by the Elections Code and other applicable state laws. This session is designed for local elections officials, agency staff working on election-related matters, and agency counsel.
