Law360 Rankings Reflect Firm’s Commitment to Diversity

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Law360 named Best Best & Krieger LLP the No. 1 Best Law Firm for Women and Minorities among U.S. firms with 150 to 299 attorneys. The ranking, released today, is the next in a string of recent accolades for BB&K’s diverse bench of attorneys from the legal newspaper and other national publications.
The No. 1 ranking reflects BB&K’s earning the No. 2 spot last week from Law360 for Top Law Firms for Minority Equity Partners and No. 6 rank last month on its list of the 100 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys — both among the 150 to 299 attorneys firms size grouping.
In an interview with Law360, Managing Partner Eric Garner said in remarks published Aug. 22 that BB&K began focusing on increasing diversity in the 1990s to better mirror the clients we serve. The firm’s success in creating a diverse workforce is rooted in a culture of respect that comes from the top, down, he added.
In its latest rankings, Law360 reports that few firms are consistently above average on hiring and promoting women and minorities — even among the firms who are diversity champions. But, a few firms “are defying these norms,” Law360 said. Firms like BB&K have “above-average representation of both women and minorities at every tier, from associates to equity partners.”
