Michelina Hassell

Michelina Hassell is an associate and member of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Municipal Law practice group. She advises clients on commercial banking matters, complex regulatory frameworks, and long-term legal strategy. She serves as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fontana and in this role, Michelina acts as a trusted advisor to city departments and leadership, managing a wide-ranging of general counsel workload. She draws on her background in litigation to handle intricate public matters and spends a significant amount of time working on planning, housing initiatives and engineering projects.

Beyond her work with municipalities, she serves as outside general counsel for a Montessori school, overseeing corporate governance and day-to-day operational needs. Always looking to expand her skill set and stay ahead of shifting legal trends, she also guides clients through trademark and copyright frameworks as part of an expanding intellectual property practice.
