Best Best & Krieger LLP attorney Anne Branham discussed her hobby with Daily Journal in a profile about how remote work has given lawyers extra time for hobbies and relaxation. The article features California attorneys and their new hobbies or rekindled old interests during the two years of remote working.

In her profile, Branham noted that “during the pandemic, I trimmed about two hours a day off my commute time, which gave me lots of extra time to focus on my favorite thing in the world: reading. In 2020, I had originally committed to reading 75 books. When I reached that number in October, I just went ahead and upped it to 100 to see if I could reach what seemed like an unreachable number in a normal year.”

Branham met her goal, as she notes, “because of the extra time regained by working from home. It was a joyous experience in a time of confusion and fear because books have always felt like home to me and reading gave me a freedom from the darkness of the pandemic even if just for a few hours at a time.”

Branham is a member of BBK’s Municipal Law practice group. She assists public clients in transactional and litigation matters concerning municipal government, with a focus in land use and review of public contracts and insurance requirements.
