Of Counsel
Regina Trainor
Regina Trainor is of counsel and a member of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Business Transactions and Health Care practice groups. As an innovative health care transactional attorney, Regina works to provide clients with cutting-edge initiatives, technologies and delivery methods that allow patient care to be delivered outside traditional hospital settings. This focus — and her abilities as a skilled negotiator — allow her to manage complex legal matters, ensure regulatory compliance and achieve the best outcomes for hospitals, behavioral health facilities, rehabilitation facilities and other health care clients. She provides guidance and manages provider and payor relationships, reimbursement arrangements, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining BBK, Regina ran her own solo healthcare law practice where she represented physician medical practices, addiction treatment facilities and laboratories. She has drafted and negotiated a wide variety of health care contracts, including asset purchase agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, stock transfer agreements, management services agreements, equity exchange agreements, leases/subleases and vendor agreements. Regina is well-versed in all aspects of health care provider corporate formation. Additionally, Regina has extensive experience in applying federal and state fraud and abuse statutes and has regularly drafted and implemented health care compliance programs.
Regina and her wife, Lillian, live in Woodland Hills with their two cats, Axel and Cicero. They have one son, Daniel, an attorney practicing in Washington, D.C. During her free time, Regina enjoys running, hiking, and cooking Italian food.
