Theresa Han Savage

Theresa Han Savage is a civil litigator and of counsel in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Municipal Law practice group. She focuses her practice on all aspects and stages of litigation for clients in various settings, particularly on appeals.
Prior to joining BBK, Theresa served 25 years as a senior research attorney for the California Court of Appeal Fourth Appellate District, Division Two in Riverside, California. In this role, she reviewed appellate briefs and trial records, analyzed complex legal issues, and drafted proposed appellate opinions across multiple areas of law. She also brings over eight years of civil litigation experience earlier in her career.
Theresa is a past president of the Riverside County Bar Association and Riverside Barristers Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Riverside Arts Academy. She is also a founding member of the Inland Empire Community Foundation’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Fund. She previously served as president of the Riverside Children’s Theatre board and as a board member of the United Way of the Inland Valleys and Goodwill Industries of the Inland Empire.
While in law school, Theresa was one of the founding member and editor-in-chief of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal.
Theresa and her husband Phil have lived in Riverside since 1993. They have three adult children and three dogs.
