Steven Moctezuma
Steven Moctezuma is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Environmental and Natural Resources Law practice group. He assists on complex issues related to the State Water Project, regulatory compliance for California water rights holders, advisory roles related to the obtaining of, and compliance with, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, and other water quality issues for cities and special districts across California. Steven also works on litigation and transactional matters with public entities.
Before joining BBK, Steven worked on a wide array of civil litigation matters, including construction, employment, and general personal injury claims. During law school, Steven served as the Vice President of the Tulane Environmental & Energy Law Society and Senior Articles Editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. He also argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, resulting in a successful outcome for clients.
In his free time, Steven enjoys playing and recording music, watching boxing, and outdoor activities with friends.
