Sarah Graham is an Associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Municipal Law practice group in the firm’s Walnut Creek office. Sarah assists public and private entities on a range of municipal law matters, particularly First Amendment, public records, Brown Act, LAFCO, and public ethics issues. Sarah is a diligent, responsive, and thoughtful problem-solver who understands the needs of public agency clients.

Previously, Sarah was an Associate at a midsize California law firm specializing in municipal law and employment law, where she advised a range of clients including cities, community services districts, special districts, public universities, and community college districts. Sarah has also clerked in the employment and land use sections of the Office of the Alameda County Counsel.

Prior to attending law school, Sarah was a college professor at universities in her native Australia and in the United States. She has taught and published widely in the areas of U.S. diplomatic history and international relations, and has commented on international issues for various Australian media outlets.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys hiking and live music, and hopes to one day travel to every country in Latin America.
