Robert Murillo II is an associate with the Municipal Law practice of Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK). Prior to joining BBK, Robert was a deputy city attorney with the City of San José, where he handled a range of complex housing matters including preparing and negotiating grant agreements involving federal, state and local funding sources, consultant contracts, advised on solicitation bids and process, and assisted with drafting and negotiating loan documents and related agreements in connection with affordable housing development, refinances and conversions. 

While at Santa Clara University School of Law, Robert participated in moot court and negotiation competitions, served as an associate on the Santa Clara Law Review, published a law review article, and was a research assistant. Originally from the Central San Joaquin Valley, Robert currently lives in San José with his partner Eddie and two dogs, Champ and Toby, enjoys athletics and the outdoors.
