Monica J. Rosas focuses her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration and probate proceedings. The San Diego-based of counsel, fluent in Spanish, represents clients with varying portfolios, from straightforward bank accounts to commercial property and business interests. Monica is most familiar with probate proceedings in San Diego County Superior Court, but also has experience in Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles superior courts. Monica is also knowledgeable in business formation for LLCs and is adept at compliance with state and county filings.

In trust and estate planning, Monica’s goal with each and every client is to provide straightforward answers and digestible counsel. Because the estate planning process is so new to many, Monica is committed to client communication and service that is free of complication and legalese. Additionally, Monica makes it a priority to mitigate issues and resolve any conflict between beneficiaries outside out of court. For individual clients, having an estate plan ensures that their wishes will be carried out and that the administration will be private and not under the court’s purview. As a mother herself, Monica’s clients find her to be relatable and empathetic.

For her business clients, Monica is focused on regular record review, to make certain they are in compliance with the requirements of the Secretary of State and the Business and Professions Code. If they are not, Monica assists with preparing and filing the necessary documentation.

Advising clients is one of Monica’s favorite parts of practicing law, as it allows for her to really get to know the client and establish a relationship. Monica approaches all matters with friendly professionalism and prides herself in the rapport she takes care to build with clients. Although Monica is based in San Diego, she also serves clients in Riverside and Irvine.

Before joining Best Best & Krieger, Monica was an attorney with the Walsh Law Firm, A.P.C, which joined BBK in 2020. Monica began working at Walsh Law Firm’s predecessor firm, Foster Walsh, LLP, while she was attending the University of San Diego as an undergraduate. She worked full time while earning her law degree.
