Mikaela Kraus

Mikaela Kraus is an associate and member of Best Best & Krieger’s Health Care  and Business practice groups. She focuses her practice on issues related to health care regulatory compliance, complex transactions, managed care contracting, Knox-Keene licensing, and other related health care issues. Clients include hospitals, physicians and other providers, health plans and self-funded employers. Her scope of skills includes the development of detailed language provisions, negotiation of payment rates and reimbursement components, licensing and regulatory compliance. She is adept at problem-solving within a variety of health care transactional law.

Mikaela has significant experience working with health care regulatory bodies including the DMHC and DHCS. She has experience drafting contracts for hospitals, medical groups, and other health care providers.

Mikaela lives in San Diego with her Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was a four-year letter winner for the Division 1 Women’s Soccer team at the University of Colorado. She enjoys hiking, fly fishing, skiing, cooking and spending time with her family.
