Marisa Galvez

Marisa Galvez is a member of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Municipal Law practice group. She has specific experience with federal research, ethics compliance, and analyzing and drafting contracts. Her work is rooted in passion for local communities and is approached with care and creativity. 

Marisa began her work at BBK as a summer associate in 2023. Prior to that, she completed a Judicial Externship at the Los Angeles Superior Court and 2nd District Court of Appeal. In these roles, Marisa helped draft motions, attended pretrial negotiations, and briefed cases for status conferences.

During her time at USC, she served as Vice President of the Latinx Law Student Association and as a mentor to underrepresented communities aspiring to enter law school. Before law school, Marisa worked as a book editor for a text on jurisprudence and as an SAT tutor. She looks forward to using these varied analytical and local facing experiences to enhance client outcomes.

While not working, Marisa enjoys scrabble, stand-up comedy, and antiquing.
