Elmira Katebian

Elmira Katebian is of counsel and a member of Best Best & Krieger LLP’s (BBK) Business and Health Care practice groups. She advises public agencies, healthcare organizations, nonprofit entities, and private companies on a broad range of transactional, corporate, healthcare, and real estate matters. 

Elmira’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, business formations, corporate governance, commercial agreements, real estate transactions, leasing, purchase and sale agreements, financing matters, and related business and operational arrangements. She also advises healthcare clients on regulatory issues arising in business transactions, including corporate practice of medicine, fee-splitting, licensure, reimbursement, and other federal and state healthcare law

Prior to BBK, Elmira focused her practice on representing physicians, dentists, optometrists, veterinarians, medical groups, and other healthcare providers, as well as closely held businesses, in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. She also served in-house as corporate counsel for a healthcare management services organization, where she focused on physician group hospital contracting, payer contracting with private health plans, and healthcare operations.

Elmira lives with her family in Martinez, California, where she enjoys spending time with them, tending to her garden, practicing her Italian, and salsa dancing.
