Sam Hall is an associate in the Municipal Law practice group of Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK), where he advises public and private clients on election and campaign law, regulatory and land use law, and municipal governance and regulation. Sam also represents both public and private clients in a variety of litigation matters, including those related to elections and the rapidly emerging areas of voting rights, suffrage, and election integrity.

Prior to BBK, Sam worked with the UCLA Voting Rights Project, including working on litigation involving local agencies and special districts, applying the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965, the California Voting Rights Act, and the Washington Voting Rights Act. Sam also has extensive experience working with nonprofit organizations and political campaigns.

While in law school, Sam served as an Associate Editor on the UCLA Law Review and as the research assistant to Professor Richard L. Hasen. When not working, Sam loves hiking in the mountains around Los Angeles and in our state and national parks, traveling to historic sites, and talking about New England sports and history.
