Erin MacDonald served as co-managing partner at Karnopp Petersen LLP before the firm joined Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) in 2022. As partner, Erin concentrates her practice in Trusts and Estates. Erin regularly counsels clients in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax planning and charitable giving.
Erin is a fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. She previously served as the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning and Administration Section of the Oregon State Bar. Erin currently serves as a member on the Development and Marketing Committee for the Oregon Community Foundation.
Erin actively participates in the local community as the former Chairperson of the Central Oregon Community College Foundation Board and as a board member of the Laboratory for the American Conversation at Oregon State University-Cascades. She is also an advisory board member of the Assistance League of Bend. Erin was recognized as Best Lawyer in 2025 and 2026.
Outside of the office, Erin enjoys traveling the world and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, exploring all the wonders that Central Oregon has to offer.
