Daniel Trevino II
He serves as general counsel to the Planning Commission for the city of Indian Wells, as well as to the Planning Commissions for the cities of San Jacinto and Coachella. He also serves as General Counsel to the police department for the city of Hermosa Beach and to the Information Technology department for the city of Ontario. In addition, he serves as Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Palm Desert and Palm Springs.
Daniel's practice focuses on municipal and real estate law, including advising on CC&Rs, commercial lease agreements, and purchase and sale agreements. He regularly counsels public agency clients on land use and governance matters and provides strategic legal guidance to boards, commissions, and city departments.
He has significant experience in contract review and advises clients on a wide range of contract matters. His practice also includes transparency and governance issues, including the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, election law, and housing matters. He frequently conducts trainings and presentations for local boards and commissions on transparency and conflict of interest laws.
In addition to his legal practice, he holds an active real estate license, providing a practical understanding of issues at the intersection of real estate and municipal law.
He is a member of the Desert Bar Association and is an active participant in the Warren Slaughter-Richard Roemer Inn of Court, where he helps present educational programs to local students about the legal profession. He is also a member of the Public Law and Real Estate Sections of the California Lawyers Association.
A proud Coachella Valley native and lifelong resident of Indio, he lives in Indio with his family and enjoys exploring local coffee shops and restaurants in his free time.
