Adam A. Goldberg is an associate at Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) and a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. He works closely with public agencies on day-to-day challenges of labor, employment, and governance matters. Adam is dedicated to representing public agencies throughout California with a special focus on school districts and community college districts.

He advises human resource personnel and administrators on a wide variety of labor and employment issues, including discipline and terminations, complaints and grievances, and interactive process meetings and accommodation issues. Adam also conducts school and workplace investigations, and has experience representing public employers in administrative hearings. Adam defends employers in state and federal court on a variety of lawsuits, including allegations related to personal injury, constitutional violations, FEHA violations, and other claims related to harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

Prior to joining BBK, Adam worked for 20 years in the retail banking industry, having served most positions from teller to trainer. In law school, he counseled clients at the University of San Diego Workers’ Rights Clinic, and was a member of the Older Wiser Law Students (“O.W.L.S.”) and Employment and Labor Law Society. At Lozano Smith, he developed a passion for representing public agency employers in labor and employment and governance matters, as well as internal investigations.

Outside of his law practice, Adam keeps busy raising his twin children, trail running, and searching for the best slice of pizza in town.
