BBK's Operation Backpack Continues to Invest in Students Across Our Communities

Best Best & Krieger LLP (BBK) proudly continued its annual Operation Backpack program this year by providing more than 500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students at Willow Elementary School in the San Ysidro School District. 

Each year, Operation Backpack rotates among the communities served by BBK's offices, extending the program's reach across the firm's footprint. "The gift of a backpack filled with school supplies helps remove barriers for many of our students and allows them to begin the school year feeling prepared and confident," said Myrna Cerda, principal of Willow Elementary School. "The generosity of BBK and everyone who contributed to Operation Backpack will make a meaningful difference for our students and their families. We are incredibly grateful for their support."

The firm's annual "Bingo for Backpacks" fundraiser once again brought together attorneys, professional staff, vendors and families from across BBK to help offset the cost of backpacks and school supplies. Since the program began, Operation Backpack has helped provide essential school supplies to more than 8,000 students and families throughout the communities BBK serves.

BBK extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to this year's Operation Backpack initiative, including the firm's employees, families, vendors and the faculty and staff of Willow Elementary and the San Ysidro School District.
