BBK Holds Second Annual Law Day 101
Firm Partnered with Assembly Majority Leader Reyes and Sen. Leyva to Host Local Students
Best Best & Krieger co-hosted the second annual Law Day 101 event for California high school students from Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Reyes’ Young Legislators program and Sen. Connie Leyva’s Young Senators program. The event took place in Fontana, Calif. on Sept. 24 and drew participation from 40 students interested in pursuing a legal career.
“We were happy to once again host a successful Law Day,” said BBK Associate Henry Castillo, who helped to organize the event. “We believe in giving back and are proud to support the leaders of tomorrow. I was lucky to be inspired by mentors early on in my career and hope that BBK can serve as inspiration to some of our local students.”
This year’s event featured ordinance drafting, eminent domain discussion and a mock city council meeting. In addition, BBK attorneys discussed their pathways to the legal profession.
BBK would like to thank Assembly Majority Leader Reyes, Sen. Leyva and their teams for their partnership and the opportunity to support local students and aspiring attorneys.
