Ethics Training for Public Agencies

This training satisfies California Assembly Bill 1234 biannual training requirements for public officials, officers and employees who file Statements of Economic Interest (SEI or Form 700). Topics covered include:​

  • General ethics laws and principles
  • Laws governing personal financial interest (Political Reform Act & Gov. Code section 1090)
  • Laws governing personal advantages and perks (limits on gifts, travel, loans, mass mailings, misuse of public funds)
  • Transparency laws (Brown Act and California Public Records Act)
  • Fair process (common law conflict of interest and due process)

Course length: 2 hours

Cost:

On-Demand   $75 per person Participants will be provided a link to access the ondemand recording which will remain active for 60 days. The training may be watched at their leisure and may be viewed in more than one sitting. A training completion certificate will be available for download once the registrant has completed the 2 hour course.
Live, Virtual Training   flat rate of $2,000 The live, virtual training can be conducted via Zoom or the firm’s webinar platform. A training recording link can be provided to those who are unable to attend, which will be active for 60 days.
In-Person Training flat rate of $2,000 plus mileage The presenting attorney will travel to the client to provide the training, live and in-person.
