Nabeal Sunna

Nabeal Sunna is an associate in Best Best & Krieger LLP’s Special Districts practice group. Nabeal assists public clients with transactional matters related to construction and infrastructure projects, drawing on his experience in mechanical engineering to provide clients with truly comprehensive perspective and understanding. He has been at the forefront of the engineering and construction phases for projects of all sizes, from the design and feasibility stages all the way through commissioning.
 
Before attending law school, Nabeal worked in the engineering group of an international mining company, designing and implementing solutions to address plant inefficiencies and critical equipment failures. Nabeal also worked in the company’s engineering and construction group, providing supervision and design services during new plant construction. Nabeal later pivoted to the estimation group of a large scale construction company, where he assisted with the preconstruction phase of large scale projects.
 
Nabeal is also a registered U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent agent with some experience in art searches, patentability and licensing opinions.
 
While attending Arizona State University, Nabeal participated in the school’s innovation advancement clinic where he helped start-up companies with a variety of transactional issues. In addition to his JD, Nabeal earned his Certificate in Law Science and Technology from ASU Law.
 
Nabeal grew up in Tembagapura, Indonesia, and moved to San Diego when he was 12. In his free time, Nabeal enjoys golf, diving, spearfishing and falconry.
