Partner Ruben Duran Gives Ethics Training to Public Officials
Benito Link Reports on LULAC Workshop
Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner Ruben Duran presented an ethics training for elected and appointed officials in a workshop hosted by the League of United Latin America Citizens Council 2890 of San Benito County. Geared toward new public officials, the March 16 workshop aimed to increase ethics, education, transparency and accountability, according to Benito Link.
The newspaper noted that the training was “significant,” as it was the first time a California State Bar Board of Trustee member conducted such a training in the County. Ruben was appointed to serve as a trustee last year.
“Ethics training is a State of California requirement of rules and regulations instituted to assure transparency of elected officials, which is paramount to public trust," said Richard Perez, San Benito LULAC president-elect. "Great elected leaders keep themselves accountable to their constituents."
