SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Best Best & Krieger LLP Partner Lindsay Puckett is included in the 2017 San Diego Daily Transcript 40 Under 40 list, recognized for her work impacting her profession and the community.
The annual listing of notable young professionals in San Diego, published Wednesday, recognized Puckett as a key member of BB&K’s Environmental Law & Natural Resources practice group. Puckett represents public and private clients in transactional and litigation matters involving the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, endangered species, land use entitlements, alternative energy, coastal development, water issues, hazardous and solid waste, and other issues.
Puckett’s recent work spans from representing public agencies on projects that strengthen San Diego County’s potable water independence, the resolution of a decade-long water rights dispute regarding the Santa Margarita River Watershed, large scale residential and commercial development, and environmental review of a massive toxic cleanup effort.
Puckett knew while attending Washington University in St. Louis for law school that she wanted to practice environmental law. "I like [my job] because it allows both transactional work and litigation," said Puckett. "We advise clients on the adequacy of the environmental review for their projects and, more likely than not, if they get sued, we also defend them. We do it from A to Z."
In 2009, the Daily Transcript named her an “Outstanding Young Attorney.”
